Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Derby invites a Systems Engineering & Verification Engineer to lead, coach and enable engineering teams to deliver robust, verified solutions aligned with customer requirements. You will interface with customers, define enterprise architecture, set verification approaches, manage R-E-D-V structures and drive risk reduction through rigorous validation and testing.

Degree in engineering and strong communication are required, with ability to operate in a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Degree level in Engineering or equivalent unless the role is a technician role.
• Experience in relevant domain is preferred but not essential.
• Good communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Interface with external and internal customers to elicit and validate requirements.
• Create an Enterprise Architecture solution serving business and technical needs.
• Set the Systems Engineering and Verification approach for a programme via the Configuration Management Plan.
• Establish / manage a R-E-D-V structure across Customer, Business, System, Sub-System and Component.
• Ensure rigorous requirements validation and verification to remove technical risk.
• Develop product verification strategy, verification plan and Product Development Plan.
• Define certification and qualification strategies for design authorities.
• Extract Manufacturing/Installation/Test and Commissioning requirements from engineering teams.
• Be the point of contact to coach the team regarding Systems Engineering, Validation and Verification.
