Job summary

Bruker is seeking a talented Systems Engineer for our X-Ray products in the UK Engineering department. You will design, develop, and validate advanced tools, and drive improvements across platforms while collaborating with mechanical, electrical and software teams.

The role requires a strong Electrical/Electronics background, experience in motion control and optics, and the ability to manage verification activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years as an Electrical/Electronics Engineer and 2+ years as a Systems Engineer, preferably in Semiconductor metrology.
• Experience with motion control and high-accuracy motion systems.
• Experience with optical systems.
• Experience with PLC systems would be advantageous.
• Self-starter able to work independently and in small teams; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate new X-ray tools and improve existing tools.
• Define and document system architecture, interfaces and requirements.
• Manage verification/validation activities and test plans.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Lead design reviews and transfer knowledge to production and service teams.
• Manage third-party contractors for specialist services such as PCB design.
