Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to drive requirements to acceptance for training devices within a defence context. The role spans internal matrix workstreams and management of sub-contractor activities, requiring flexibility and delivery mindset.

The position requires BPSS/SC clearance eligibility, a relevant degree, and the ability to travel up to 25% with a hybrid work arrangement in Winnersh/UK.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent training.
• Strong experience in systems engineering across the V-model.
• Experience with systems engineering standards, principles and techniques.
• Experience writing scopes of work and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of development of Systems of Systems.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to solve problems.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools.
• Has or can obtain security clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Define work packages and technical requirements with Solution Architect.
• Individually contribute to the execution and delivery of key work packages.
• Undertake activities related to product specification and qualification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to procure and implement training devices.
• Contribute to problem resolution at team level and improve system operations.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes and procedures.
• Champion EHS compliance and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as needed for programme success.
