Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of training devices, from requirements through to acceptance. The role supports a hybrid working pattern and requires eligibility for BPSS and SC clearance, with travel up to 25% expected.

The ideal candidate will have strong systems engineering experience, familiarity with the V-model, and the ability to operate in cross-functional teams within a defence context.

Qualifications

• Requires degree or equivalent training.
• Strong systems engineering experience across the V-model.
• Experience with systems engineering standards and techniques.
• Experience writing scopes of work and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of Systems of Systems development.
• Capable of collaborative, multi-discipline work environments.
• Hands-on with configuration management tools.
• Must be able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define work packages and technical requirements with the Solution Architect.
• Contribute to execution and delivery of key work packages.
• Develop system specifications and qualification activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for procurement and deployment of training devices.
• Contribute to problem resolution within the team.
• Support and improve planned system operations.
