Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to drive product development from requirements to acceptance, ideally within the defence training domain.

The role is hybrid, requiring collaboration with a Solution Architect and cross-functional teams to define work packages, manage procurement, and oversee subcontractors. BPSS/SC clearance eligible, travel up to 25%, and a valid driving licence are expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent training.
• Strong experience in systems engineering across the V-model.
• Experience with systems engineering standards and techniques.
• Experience writing scopes of work and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of development of Systems of Systems.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools.
• Has or can obtain security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Define work packages and technical requirements with the Solution Architect.
• Contribute to execution and delivery of key work packages.
• Undertake activities related to product specification and qualification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to procure and implement advanced training devices.
• Contribute to problem resolution at team level.
• Support planning and operation of systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
• Promote Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance.
