Job summary

Avon Technologies plc seeks a Systems Engineer to ensure the deployment, stability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure and end-user devices, delivering excellent customer service as a trusted technical partner within a CI-driven culture.

The role spans design, deployment, monitoring, security, and continuity, with a focus on supporting business goals and aligning with Group IT standards. You will collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA, CISSP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer-first mindset.
• Experience with enterprise IT infrastructure and end user device management.
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement (CI) principles and ability to apply them in daily work.
• Hands-on experience with technologies and vendors such as HP/Dell EUD.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by prioritising user experience and responsiveness in all technical interactions.
• Design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, cloud and security platforms.
• Manage the lifecycle of end user devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals), including deployment, configuration, and support.
• Monitor system and device performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement upgrades or patches.
• Ensure systems and devices comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that meet business needs.
• Document system and device configurations, procedures, and processes.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity planning and Cyber Incident response planning.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to CI initiatives across IT operations.
• Contribute to and alignment with Group IT technical, process and procedural standards
• Background and skills are dependent on the focus of the role and grade of the position:
