Job summary

Avon Rubber seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure professional to design, implement and support our global network, server and storage platforms from the Melksham, UK site. The role focuses on high availability, security and performance across on‑premises and private cloud environments.

You will collaborate with cloud, security and application teams, maintain standard builds and processes, and mentor junior engineers within a matrix IT structure.

Qualifications

• Extensive Cisco networking experience including routing, switching, VLANs and STP.
• Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and network segmentation.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs and secure access models such as 802.1X/I‑SE.
• Proficiency with Windows Server platforms, Active Directory and Group Policy.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain network, server and storage infrastructure.
• Support delivery of infrastructure solutions across Cisco-based networking environments.
• Manage and support routing and switching.
• Implement and maintain network security controls including firewalls, VPNs and NAC/ISE where applicable.
• Deploy and support compute platforms including physical servers and virtualised platforms.
• Support and maintain enterprise storage solutions including SAN/NAS and replication.
