Zusammenfassung

Leonardo UK is seeking experienced System Safety Engineers to work on complex problems, ensuring our products are safe and compliant with regulatory standards. You will perform safety analyses across the full system lifecycle, identify hazards, and create artefacts such as safety assessments and fault trees, while contributing to a safety culture across projects spanning radar, IRCM, and targeting systems.

Hybrid working with on-site options in Edinburgh and additional locations available.

Qualifikationen

• Experience of safety analysis of complex systems in a safety-critical industry.
• Experience across a number of engineering lifecycle phases.
• Experience of generating safety engineering artefacts e.g. system safety assessment, hazard log, fault trees, risk assessments etc.
• Knowledge of lasers, radar systems, and/or sensors and defensive aids systems.
• Ability to work with different engineering disciplines, e.g. software, electronics, mechanical.
• Experience with at least one of: ARP4754B, ARP4761A, RTCA DO-254, or DO-178C.
• An interest in new and emerging technologies and safety analysis techniques.
• Experience with the listed tools: Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM DOORS, Adelard ASCE, Isograph Reliability Work Bench.

Aufgaben

• Use safety analysis skills across the full system lifecycle: from requirements analysis through design, development and delivery.
• Identify hazards and mitigate safety risks, supporting design trade-offs.
• Evidence decisions using fault tree analysis, scenario analysis and other techniques.
• Contribute to continual improvement of the Product Safety and EnvironmentalImpact Management System.
