Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is recruiting for a System Safety Engineer in the UK. You will perform safety analyses across the full system lifecycle, identify hazards, and implement mitigations for complex radar and sensor systems. The role requires experience with safety artefacts and compliance with ARP47xx and DO-254/DO-178C style guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience of safety analysis of complex systems in a safety-critical industry.
• Experience across a number of engineering lifecycle phases.
• Experience of generating safety engineering artefacts e.g. system safety assessment, hazard log, fault trees, risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Use safety analysis skills across the full system lifecycle.
• Identify hazards and investigate mitigations to reduce safety risks.
• Evidence decisions using fault trees, scenario analysis, and other techniques.
• Contribute to continual improvement of safety and environmental management.
