Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to lead safety activities across complex Electronic Warfare programmes, shaping how safety is embedded from concept to capability delivery. You will perform hazard analyses, develop mitigation strategies to ALARP, manage safety requirements, and collaborate with MoD stakeholders to meet safety, compliance and performance standards.

Qualifications

Experience in safety analyses for safety-critical environments.
Experience across multiple stages of the engineering lifecycle.
Ability to lead safety work packages and coordinate activities across diverse teams.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication with regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

Lead safety assessments and ensure activities align with Safety Management Plans.
Identify, analyse, and mitigate hazards to ALARP levels.
Perform intrinsic and functional hazard analyses on complex systems.
Define and manage safety requirements throughout the lifecycle.
Review subsystem safety evidence and integrate findings into system-level assessments.
Produce and maintain safety artefacts and certification evidence.
Influence engineering decisions and ensure safety from concept to capability delivery.
