Job summary

Hackney Borough Council is seeking a System Leader for School Improvement to provide targeted peer support, coaching and leadership development across Hackney schools. This practitioner-led role centers on equity, anti-racism and inclusion, with emphasis on Teaching & Learning, Curriculum, Assessment, Wellbeing and AI integration.

You will work under the guidance of an Education Improvement Adviser to build sustainable capacity.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a school setting.
• Deep expertise in Teaching, Curriculum or Assessment and edtech/AI integration.
• Strong coaching and diagnostic abilities with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted peer support to partner schools focusing on teaching, curriculum and assessment.
• Coach school leaders to embed lasting improvements and build capacity.
• Champion equity, anti-racism and inclusive practice in all activities.
