Job summary

The London Borough of Hackney is hiring an Education Improvement Adviser to support a portfolio of schools across the borough. You will challenge and quality assure leadership, teaching and pupil outcomes, and promote inclusive, anti-racist practice, SEND and wellbeing.

You will build partnerships, coach schools, and lead on strategic priorities while coordinating SEND team support to raise standards for all learners and drive system-wide improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursery, primary, secondary or special school sector.
• Proven track record of driving educational improvement.
• Expertise in school improvement.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with a portfolio of schools, giving tailored advice and support towards their goals.
• Challenge, monitor and quality assure schools on leadership, teaching and learning and pupil outcomes.
• Lead on strategic priorities including inclusive and anti-racist practice, SEND and wellbeing.
• Facilitate school-to-school collaboration and share best practice for system-wide improvement.
• Coordinate support for schools as part of an integrated SEND team, aiming for high standards of provision for all learners.
• Champion equity and anti-oppressive practice across schools.
