Job summary

Hackney Education is seeking a practitioner-led system leader to mentor senior leaders, drive equity-focused school improvement and oversee the use of educational technology and AI across partner schools in Hackney. The role includes coaching, intervention design and delivering professional development within a SEND-inclusive framework.

You will work under the Children & Education department, aligning with anti-racism standards and equity goals while coordinating with Education Improvement

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead system-wide improvement in schools.
• Strong background in teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Practical knowledge of educational technology and AI integration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver time-limited interventions to partner schools focusing on teaching, curriculum, assessment and ethical AI use.
• Coach and mentor school leaders, embedding lasting improvements.
• Build buddy networks across schools to sustain progress.
• Champion anti-racist, equitable and inclusive practice, prioritising SEND pupils.
• Set intervention goals with Education Improvement Advisers, monitor progress and evaluate outcomes.
• Design and deliver high-quality professional development for middle leaders and staff.
