A look into the role

As a System Administrator, you will move beyond transactional processing and play a key role in maintaining and optimising the Warehouse Management System that underpins our warehouse operation. You will take ownership of system accuracy, data integrity and stock control across both inbound and outbound functions. You will regularly analyse daily and weekly reports such as Code Date, Held Location, Held Product and Product Purge reports to ensure the information held within the system is accurate and reflective of live operations. This may include reviewing shorted products, analysing RF exceptions, checking product dimensions and inventory discrepancies, and responding to Customer Service, Trading, Buying and Finance queries. You will also troubleshoot system or equipment issues impacting warehouse operatives, acting as a key link between operational teams and system functionality.

You will play an active role in decision making within the warehouse environment. This includes prioritising RF activity, adjusting stock and product locations to optimise let-downs, reviewing promotional volumes and assigning new product locations based on operational need. You will also manage elements of system configuration such as user set-up, replenishment controls and location structures, ensuring the system continues to support an efficient and compliant operation.

Overall, this role requires someone who enjoys working with detail and data but is equally comfortable communicating across teams, influencing improvements and helping to keep the wider warehouse operation running smoothly. It would particularly suit someone who can adapt quickly, work across multiple areas and provide dependable support where business priorities require it.
