Job summary

Henderson Group operates SPAR/Foodmarket in Whiteabbey and is seeking a part-time Customer Advisor for SPAR/Foodmarket Whiteabbey. The role offers 22 hours per week, with flexible shifts across Monday to Sunday, 6.00am–11.00pm and occasional late-evening coverage.

You will deliver excellent customer service, operate checkouts, restock and merchandize shelves, ensure correct pricing, and may cover the Post Office. Full training is provided, and the team values ambition, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required; training provided.
• Team members with personality, energy and a positive attitude.
• Shortlisting criteria may be adjusted based on response.

Responsibilities

• Listen to and understand customers' needs and advise about products and services.
• Operate checkouts accurately and process transactions efficiently.
• Replenish stock daily in line with stock rotation policy.
• Merchandise stock to boost sales and ensure correct shelf labeling.
• Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.
• May cover the Post Office when required.
• Perform other duties as required.

Pay rates ranging from £11.75 - £13.10 per hour depending on your age and great benefits.

Part-time positions available at 22 hours per week, working within the hours of Monday - Sunday, 6.00am - 11.00pm, & 12 hours working evenings to 11pm Monday – Friday and weekends 6:00am – 11:00pm , with a degree of flexibility required.

A look into the role

Reporting to the Store Management Team, you will assist in the efficient running of the store on a daily basis, ensuring that a high standards of customer service, is achieved at all times.

As Customer Advisor you will be required to;

• Listening to and understanding our customers' needs and advising customers about our products and services.
• Operate all checkouts accurately, ensuring customer transactions are processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that stock on a daily basis stock is replenished while complying with the company stock rotation process.
• Ensure that stock is effectively merchandised to enhance sales.
• Make sure that all stock is displayed at the correct price using the corresponding Shelf Edge Label.
• To actively ensure that a high level of customer service is achieved and maintained within the store at all times.
• You may be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.
• Any other duties as required for the role.

Skills for Success
