Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Switchgear) to service LV/MV switchgear across South England, London to Midlands. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on power distribution equipment, diagnose faults and deliver high-quality field service on critical infrastructure sites.

The role requires a degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, a minimum of 3 years' field service experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in field service/maintenance/service engineering.
• Strong knowledge of LV and/or MV switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with fault finding, diagnostics, inspection and testing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on LV and MV switchgear and distribution equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement solutions.
• Perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Produce detailed service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Build relationships with customers and provide technical advice.
