Job summary

Omega, a leading engineering organisation, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our field-based team delivering electrical infrastructure projects across the UK. You will commission, test and support LV, 11kV and 33kV distribution systems on industrial, utility and infrastructure sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical commissioning and testing of switchgear.
• Knowledge of LV, 11kV and 33kV distribution systems.
• Experience with protection commissioning and relay testing.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Commission, test and fault-find LV, 11kV and 33kV electrical distribution systems.
• Commission and configure switchgear, protection relays and associated control equipment.
• Support installation, maintenance, repair, upgrade and retrofit activities.
• Deliver technical support both remotely and on customer sites.
• Assist with SCADA systems including commissioning, troubleshooting and field support.
• Produce commissioning reports and project documentation to a high standard.
• Provide technical guidance and consultancy to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring a high level of service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for additional service, maintenance and upgrade solutions.
• Travel throughout the UK to support customer projects, including occasional overnight stays.
