Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a field-based team delivering electrical distribution projects across the UK. You will commission, test and support LV/11kV/33kV switchgear and work on SCADA integration.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, at least five years' experience, and a full UK driving licence; travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays is expected. A competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in switchgear commissioning or field service engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical protection commissioning and relay testing.
• Experience with LV, 11kV and 33kV networks and SCADA systems.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel UK-wide.

Responsibilities

• Commission, test and fault-find LV, 11kV and 33kV distribution systems.
• Configure switchgear, protection relays and control equipment.
• Support installation, maintenance, repair, upgrade and retrofit work.
• Deliver technical support remotely and on customer sites.
• Assist with SCADA commissioning, troubleshooting and field support.
• Produce commission reports and project documentation to high standards.
• Provide technical guidance to customers and stakeholders.
• Build strong customer relationships and identify upsell opportunities.
• Ensure safety and compliance with industry standards and procedures.
• Travel across the UK to support projects, with occasional overnight stays.
