Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy Switchboard department at Harefield Hospital.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Make and receive calls following procedures and policies established with the Switchboard Manager.
2. Respond to emergency calls, alarms, and incident procedures, including gas and plant alarms, and follow Telecom failure protocols.
3. Handle cardiac arrests, fire alarms, security and intrusion alarms, requiring rapid and critical assistance.
4. Manage bleep and air call requests and maintain accurate call logs.
5. Order stationery as needed.
6. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.

Candidate Requirements:

• Ability to deal with emergency situations calmly and professionally.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
