Job summary

Leisure Focus in Windsor is seeking a Swimming Coordinator to oversee the swimming programme across Windsor Leisure Centre, ensuring alignment with the National Teaching Plan and full implementation of the learn-to-swim brand.

You will lead a team, promote high customer service, manage enrolments and payments, and report on budgets and performance monthly; Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification is required, with NPLQ and First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of learn to swim programmes and ASA National Teaching Plan.
• Ability to teach and manage a staff team.
• Fully qualified Level 2 Swimming Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate swimming programme across Windsor Leisure Centre.
• Ensure programme operates in accordance with National Teaching Plan.
• Implement swimming lesson brand across Windsor Leisure Centre.

• Complete monthly budget and performance statistics.

Job description

SWIMMING COORDINATOR

Full time Permanent

Salary up to £28,500 pa

This is an ideal role for an individual who is motivated by managing a team of staff, is sports development focused and has a keen interest in learning to swim programmes and swimming in general.

Primary responsibilities:

• Coordination of swimming programme across at Windsor Leisure Centre.
• To ensure the swimming programme is operated in accordance with the National Teaching Plan.
• Ensure the swimming lesson brand is fully implemented at Windsor Leisure Centre.
• Ensuring that high levels of customer service are adopted at all times.
• Complete statistical information for the budgets and performance analysis on a monthly basis.
• Liaise with the Swim Manager on working to achieve the objectives outlined in the contract Normal Operating Procedures.
• To ensure the booking system is updated each term and all associated work that relates to enrolment and payments.
• Chair regular site/self employed teacher meetings to ensure dissemination of information.

THE CANDIDATE:

Qualifications and skills:

• The candidate must demonstrate extensive knowledge of learn to swim programmes and the ASA National Teaching Plan. Abilities in teaching and managing a team of staff is also essential.
• The candidate must be a fully qualified Level 2 Swimming Teacher.
• Ideally an NPLQ and First Aid at Work certificate.

The position of Swimming Coordinator may be classed as a regulated post and therefore may require a DBS Disclosure. Where the individual does not already hold a DBS check, it may be necessary for the post holder to be submitted for a DBS check.
