Job Description

The De Beers Group Corporate Sustainability Team is responsible for shaping our sustainability strategy, supporting delivery, coordinating ESG governance and reporting, sharing achievements externally, managing key partnerships, and identifying opportunities to maximize ESG value across the business. Our team adopts a dynamic approach, integrating stakeholder needs into a long-term strategy that secures our license to operate and builds a positive legacy.

The Sustainability Reporting Manager will report to the Interim Chief Sustainability Officer / SVP Sustainable Impact and collaborate closely with the broader sustainability team to support our shared goals.

This role involves ensuring our external sustainability reports are clear, compelling, and adhere to best practices, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining relationships with external reporting fora to produce world-class disclosures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Leadership: Lead ESG disclosure strategy, reporting, and assurance aligned with business and stakeholder needs. Partner with communications and engagement teams to support sustainability messaging.
2. Delivery: Oversee the annual ESG disclosure process, coordinate inputs, and ensure alignment with regulatory and group reporting standards. Support implementation of the Analyse and Improve Framework to measure, analyze, and enhance sustainability performance.
3. Engagement: Support advocacy efforts, awareness, and brand positioning related to Building Forever, engaging various stakeholder groups.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in ESG/Sustainability reporting within a large corporate, preferably in mining or luxury sectors.
• Graduate or postgraduate qualification in social or environmental sciences preferred.
• Strong project management, analytical skills, and experience with ESG data tools.
• Excellent communication skills, proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously.
• Passionate about sustainability and experienced in influencing change across complex workstreams.
