Job summary

Sushi Gourmet in Sheffield is seeking a part-time Sushi Chef to lead the team at Mai Sushi – Sheffield Fargate. You will prepare fresh ingredients, label products for allergen compliance, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced setting, working early shifts from 6:30am when required.

The role emphasizes food safety, team collaboration, and sustainable food production, with opportunities for training and progression within the group.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift.
• Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
• Be a skilled multitasker in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to clean the workspace and storerooms as required.
• Be organised and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safe environment for customers.
• Shifts can start at 6:30am on some days.
• Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered.
