Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in Bristol to recruit an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst. You will undertake surveying and analytical duties across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sector sites.

The role requires BOHS P402/403/404 or equivalent, experience as Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, knowledge of HSG264/248 and UKAS procedures, a full UK driving licence, and strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation.
• Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
• Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Undertake air monitoring, four-stage clearances, reassurance testing, leak testing and smoke testing per HSG248.
• Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Conduct bulk asbestos sampling across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sector properties.
• Manage workload efficiently across multiple client sites.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance and UKAS procedures.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a range of client sites throughout the South West.

Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will deliver high:quality surveying and analytical services while ensuring full compliance with HSG264, HSG248, current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

Key Responsibilities

What Were Looking For
