Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to support a growing portfolio across Gloucester and the South West. The role involves carrying out management, refurbishment and demolition surveys in line with HSG264, air monitoring, bulk sampling, and producing compliant reports.

You will join a UKAS-accredited consultancy with strong support and development opportunities; BOHS qualifications are essential, a full UK driving licence is required, and a competitive salary is offered

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 & P404 essential.
• Experience as Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst.
• Full UK driving licence; strong report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition surveys (R&D) per HSG264.
• Perform air monitoring including 4-stage clearance and testing per HSG248.
• Conduct bulk sampling and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Produce accurate asbestos survey and analytic reports.
• Work across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sector properties.
• Manage workload independently with support from operations team.

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience)

The Role

• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264
• Undertaking air monitoring, including 4-stage clearances, leak testing, reassurance testing, and reoccupation certification in accordance with HSG248
• Conducting bulk sampling and ensuring compliance with company procedures
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports
• Working across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sector properties
• Managing workload independently with support from an established operations team
• Ensuring all work complies with current legislation and HSE guidance

About You

• BOHS P402, P403 & P404 (essential)
• Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and asbestos legislation
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Professional, organised, and reliable
