I’m excited to share an incredible opportunity to join us as a Survey Manager for the Sizewell C project, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy for the UK.

As part of the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), you'll be directly contributing to the construction of Sizewell C, a ground-breaking 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station that will provide low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes. This project is not just about constructing a power station - it’s about building a sustainable energy future, and your expertise will help make that possible.

What You’ll Do:

As the Survey Manager, you’ll oversee all survey activities at the Avonmouth hub - from setting up initial survey strategies to ensuring all topographic and engineering surveying is executed to the highest standards. You’ll lead a dedicated team, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure that everything runs smoothly, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all site survey operations, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting for the Sizewell C project.
  • Coordinate survey requirements with the site delivery and operational teams to keep everything integrated.
  • Develop and implement Avonmouth’s Survey Strategy in line with CWA standards and ensure compliance with all H&S and QA/QC processes.
  • Manage survey equipment procurement, calibration, and re-certification throughout the project.
  • Analyse survey data and produce detailed reports, maps, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and technical teams to ensure all surveying equipment and services meet project needs.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the team, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and continuous improvement principles.

What We’re Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you will need extensive experience in land surveying and leadership within the construction environment. You’ll be proficient with the latest survey technologies and software such as Autodesk Civil 3D and GNSS networks. Experience in settlement monitoring systems and a solid understanding of geodetic requirements will be key. You’ll also have proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver excellence.

Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of survey software and technologies.
  • Experience managing site survey teams and complex surveying projects.
  • Full driving licence and CSCS certification.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications.
  • A degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is desirable.

Why Join Us:

Being part of CWA means you’ll be contributing to something truly significant: Sizewell C will power homes, support the UK’s energy future, and create a lasting legacy. You’ll be working on a high-profile, complex project alongside passionate professionals who are dedicated to delivering excellence.
