NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Health Care Assistant for Ward 24 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. You will provide compassionate care under supervision, support basic nursing tasks, and assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.

You will work 36 hours per week on a rota including days, nights and weekends, based at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Corsebar Road, Paisley, PA2 9PN. The role emphasizes safety, dignity and teamwork within a busy clinical setting.

Formación

• Knowledge of basic patient care and support needs.
• Ability to assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Understanding of safe manual handling procedures.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
• Awareness of Health and Safety requirements in a clinical environment.
• Ability to accurately complete patient documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide care and assistance with fluid and nutritional intake.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to the nurse in charge.
• Assist with personal hygiene and dressing while following manual handling policies.
• Assist with basic clinical investigations and urine collections as required.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and organize charts.
• Keep clinical areas clean, tidy and stocked, reporting defects.
