Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join wards on a 37.5 hour per week permanent basis. The role involves assisting with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and routine observations, in a supportive hospital environment.

Applicants should have care experience, good communication, and physical ability. NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care is desirable. The salary is £24,434 per year with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care or health support role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs.
• Help patients with eating, drinking and nutritional support, including documenting intake.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives.
• Carry out and record routine observations (blood pressure, pulse, etc.) after training.
• Support basic clinical procedures and wound care setup.
