The post requires good communication, infection prevention knowledge, and experience with ECG recording, venepuncture, cannulation and catheterisation. A commitment to development within the NHS is essential.

Qualifications

• Evidence of professional development.
• Willing to undertake Practice Assessor Training.
• Relevant Degree or willing to register to work towards degree.
• Experience of maintaining accurate records.
• Awareness of NHS policies and the changing NHS environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist the team in the efficient running of the unit and care for surgical patients during their hospital stay.
• Demonstrate good communication, keep clear records and maintain high standards of infection control.
• Support learning and act as a mentor for junior staff where required.
