Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Emergency Unit. The role is Band 5, fixed-term 12 months, 37.5 hours per week, based at Arrowe Park Hospital in Wirral.

The successful candidate will join a fast-paced team providing urgent care, assessment and high-quality patient care within a 20-bed SEU. Key duties include assisting with unit operations, ECG monitoring, venepuncture, cannulation and catheterisation, with a focus on

• Evidence of professional development
• Act as a practice supervisor
• Willing to undertake Practice Assessor Training
• Relevant Degree or willing to register to work towards degree
• Relevant or willingness to undertake relevant module/course
• Suitable for newly qualified or experienced staff nurse
• Experience of maintaining accurate records
• Relevant clinical knowledge and experience
• NHS Experience
• Awareness of Health Policies and the changing NHS environment

Responsabilidades

• Assist the team in the efficient running of the unit and care for surgical patients during hospital stay
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and high standards of written and verbal communication
• Ambulatory care and assessment responsibilities including diversion of admissions where appropriate
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards and understand the surgical admission process
