Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Team Secretary for the Surgical Care Collaborative, based at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. The role supports the established team including Medical Secretaries and MDT Coordinator, with a focus on medical terminology and NCIC admin systems.

The position is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with responsibilities spanning patient pathways, email monitoring, and ancillary admin duties within the surgical specialty.

Qualifications

• GCSE English language (minimum C) or equivalent.
• RSA 2 word processing or equivalent.
• RSA 3 word processing or equivalent.
• NVQ 3 in administration or equivalent.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to analyse complex facts or situations.
• Able to use initiative appropriately within team environment.
• Able to work without supervision.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Able to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing patient pathways in accordance with Referral to Treatment policy.
• Monitoring email boxes.
• Supporting Medical Secretaries with the administrative duties related to the speciality.
