Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd. seeks a Surface & Highway Structures B2 Engineer to provide specialist engineering support on capital schemes, third‑party works and asset operations within a major transport organisation.

Hybrid London role with on-site visits 2–3 days/week. The role requires a degree or HND in Civil Engineering, with graduate-level experience and exposure to highway structures through inspection, design or asset management.

Qualifications

• HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Graduate-level Civil Engineer with relevant practical experience.
• Exposure to highway structures through inspection, design, construction or asset management.
• Experience in consultancy, contractor or client organisations.
• Awareness of relevant technical standards, legislation, health & safety and environmental requirements.
• Able to apply professional engineering judgement to low-risk/low-complexity challenges.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Technician or Graduate Member working towards ICE Membership or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assurance and engineering advice across highway/ marine structures projects and operations.
• Support planning, design, construction, inspection, maintenance and assessment of structures.
• Produce and review technical information, designs, drawings and calculations.
• Provide professional engineering advice to internal stakeholders.
• Undertake site-based risk monitoring and surveillance as required.
• Apply relevant standards, legislation and best practice.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and asset management.
