Job summary

ARM in London is seeking a Surface & Highway Structures B2 Engineer to provide specialist engineering support across capital schemes, third-party works and asset operations within a major transport organisation. The role is hybrid (2-3 days on-site) with a daily rate of £424.34, contracted work inside IR35.

You will provide technical assurance and engineering advice across structures projects, support planning, design, construction, inspection, maintenance and assessment of highway/marine

Qualifications

• HND or degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Graduate-level Civil Engineer with practical experience.
• Experience with highway structures through inspection, design, construction or asset management.
• Experience in consultancy, contractor or client organisation.
• Awareness of technical standards, legislation, health & safety and environmental requirements.
• Ability to apply engineering judgement to low-risk/low-complexity technical challenges.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

About You:

• HND or preferably a Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Graduate-level Civil Engineer with relevant practical experience.
• Previous exposure to highway structures through inspection, design, construction or asset management.
• Experience may have been gained within a consultancy, contractor or client organisation.
• Awareness of relevant technical standards, legislation, health & safety and environmental requirements.
• Able to apply professional engineering judgement to low-risk/low-complexity technical challenges.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ideally a Technician or Graduate Member working towards ICE Membership or equivalent professional institution.
