Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Highways Structures and Surface Engineer in London for a 6-month contract on a full-time basis. The role requires extensive knowledge of structural design, safety and lifecycle management of surface and highway infrastructure, including design, construction, inspection and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of legislation, technical standards and industry best practice related to Surface and Highway Structures.
• Extensive knowledge of health, safety and environmental considerations applicable to surface and Highway structures.

Responsibilities

• Extensive knowledge of the design, construction, operation, inspection, maintenance and assessment of surface and Highway structures.
• Safeguarding the safety, integrity and efficiency of the Surface and Highway Structures as set at all stages in the asset life cycle through planning, design, construction, operation, inspection, maintenance and assessment activities.
• Work related to the effects of inclement weather, climate change and third party works.
