Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is seeking a Supporter Relations Executive to join our fundraising team. You will be the frontline ambassador for supporters, ensuring an excellent experience and careful donor stewardship. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid working pattern (2 days per week in the office).

The salary is £33,500 per year, with benchmarking data guiding pay and a commitment to fair, transparent compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent supporter experience.
• Experience handling donations and donor journeys.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Comfort with DBS checks is expected for this role.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for supporters and provide information and guidance to maximise income.
• Communicate with supporters via telephone, post and email as a passionate ambassador for GOSH Charity.
• Take donations and registrations and thank donors according to the supporter journeys.
• Receive and respond to complaints about fundraising activity and liaise to resolve where possible.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity are hiring for a Supporter Relations Executive to join our supporter relations team. You will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional supporter experience at the highest standards.

This position is a 12 month fixed term contract

Salary

The salary this position is £33,500 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of 2 days per week in the office.

In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for supporters, providing information, advice and support to maximise income in the most efficient way.
• To communicate with supports in a prompt, helpful and professional manner via telephone, post and email – being a passionate ambassador for GOSH Charity.
• To take donations and registrations and thanking donations in accordance with the supporter relations strategy and donor journeys.
• To receive and respond to complaints about the Charity’s fundraising activity, liaising with colleagues and agencies to reach a satisfactory resolution for the supporter wherever possible.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Previous experience working with the public to inspire their support.
• Ability to provide an exceptional supporter experience for fundraisers and donors.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience working with databases, with attention to detail and good data management.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• A passion for working in public fundraising and delivering engaging and inspiring supporter experience.

Previous experience in the charity sector is not essential for this position, but is highly desirable.

DBS - note a Basic DBS check is required for this role.
