Job summary

Trust Housing Association is seeking a part-time Support Worker (Later Living Support) in Dumfries, Dumfries & Galloway. You will support tenants per their personal plans, assist with meals in the dining room, and may perform occasional kitchen duties.

The role includes lone working from 5pm to 10pm and coverage during short-staffing periods. Applicants should have a Health & Social Care qualification and experience with older people or vulnerable community members.

Trust Housing Association has an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker (Later Living Support) to join our team based in Dumfries, Dumfries & Galloway on a part-time, permanent basis.

What We’re Looking For In Our Support Workers

You’ll be working with our tenants to make sure they receive the support identified in their personal plan ensuring they continue to enjoy as much independence as possible. You will assist with meal delivery and provide support in the dining room; there may also be very occasional kitchen duties. It’ll be rewarding looking after those who rely on the support and dedication you’ll bring to this important role.

Support Worker Skills And Experience

Ideally, you will have an appropriate qualification in Health & Social Care and previous experience of working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community, so you will understand their needs and know how to meet these. If you are successful in joining our team we can provide you with fantastic opportunities to develop your experience or enhance your career in social care and assist with your ongoing continued personal development.

  • 16.75 hours worked over a mixture of shifts on a 4-week rolling rota, including working alternate weekends
  • Competitive hourly rate of £14.04 per hour

Please note, there is lone working involved in this role, and you must be able to work alone from 5pm - 10pm when on shift. This role will also involve assisting with occasions of short staffing.
