Job summary

Trust Housing Association in Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, United Kingdom, is offering a part-time, permanent role as a Support Worker (Later Living Support). You will work with tenants to deliver the support identified in their personal plan, assist with meal delivery and dining room support, and may perform occasional kitchen duties.

The role requires a Health & Social Care qualification or relevant experience with older people, and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Job description

Trust Housing Association is offering a part‑time, permanent role as a Support Worker (Later Living Support) in Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, United Kingdom.

• Location: Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, United Kingdom
• Earnings: £14.04 per hour

In return for your enthusiasm and commitment as a supported housing worker, we will offer you:

• 16.75 hours worked over a mixture of shifts on a 4‑week rolling rota, including working alternate weekends

• Please note, there is lone working involved in this role, and you must be able to work alone from 5pm‑10pm when on shift. The role will also involve assisting with occasions of short staffing.

What We're Looking For

You will work with our tenants to make sure they receive the support identified in their personal plan, ensuring they continue to enjoy as much independence as possible. You will assist with meal delivery and provide support in the dining room, and may also perform occasional kitchen duties.

Skills and Experience

Ideally, you will have an appropriate qualification in Health & Social Care and previous experience of working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community. You will understand their needs and know how to meet these. If you are successful, we can provide opportunities to develop your experience and enhance your career in social care.
