Job summary

Trust Housing Association is seeking a part-time Supported Housing Worker in Stornoway to assist tenants according to personal care plans. The role involves supporting meals, dining room activities and enabling independence, with occasional kitchen duties.

The ideal candidate will have Health & Social Care qualifications and prior experience with older people or vulnerable individuals, and will join a Not-for-profit housing and care provider committed to Fair Work values.

• Location: Stornoway/Steòrnabhagh, Na h-Eileanan an Iar, United Kingdom
• Earnings: £14.04 per hour

Trust Housing Association has an exciting opportunity for a Supported Housing Worker to join our team at Stornoway, Isle of Lewis Western Isles. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis and in return, you will recieve a competitve rate of £14.04 per hour.

In return for your enthusiasm and commitment as a Supported Housing Worker we will offer you:

• 16.75 hours worked over a mixture of shifts on a 4-week rolling rota, including working alternate weekends

What we're looking for in our Support Workers:

You’ll be working with our tenants to make sure they receive the support identified in their personal plan ensuring they continue to enjoy as much independence as possible. You will assist with meal delivery and provide support in the dining room; there may also be very occasional kitchen duties. It’ll be rewarding looking after those who rely on the support and dedication you bring to this important role.

Support Worker Skills and Experience:

Ideally, you will have an appropriate qualification in Health & Social Care and previous experience of working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community, so you will understand their needs and know how to meet these. If you are successful in joining our team we can provide you with fantastic opportunities to develop your experience or enhance your career in social care and assist with your ongoing continued personal development.
