Job summary

The Housing Network seeks an experienced manager to lead a local supported housing team delivering accommodation and trauma-informed support to residents facing homelessness and multiple disadvantage in Coventry. You will provide hands-on leadership, manage a small complex caseload, and drive MEAM-aligned outcomes while upholding the charity’s values of respect and person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams within supported housing or homelessness services.
• Extensive experience supporting people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
• Strong knowledge of mental health, substance misuse, offending and safeguarding.
• Experience in accommodation-based services, tenancy sustainment and intensive housing management.
• Knowledge of Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, rent management and welfare benefits.
• Skilled in strengths-based and trauma-informed practice.
• Experience completing and quality assuring support plans and risk assessments.
• Confident working in a positive risk-taking, non-judgemental environment.
• Excellent communication, partnership working and report-writing skills.
• Strong IT skills and experience using digital case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team delivering person-centred support.
• Conduct supervision, appraisals, objective setting and performance management.
• Promote reflective practice, learning, inclusion and staff wellbeing.
• Participate in the Managers On Call rota.
• Monitor budgets, KPIs and contract performance.
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, property standards and organisational policies.
• Lead safeguarding responses and work with external professionals on complex cases.
• Deliver and oversee strengths-based, trauma-informed support planning.
• Maintain a small complex caseload.
• Support residents experiencing homelessness, mental ill health, substance misuse, offending history and multiple disadvantage.
• Ensure accurate risk assessments, support plans and case recording.
• Promote harm reduction, independence and positive outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with statutory and community partners to meet residents' needs.
• Oversee referrals, assessments and admissions.
• Support tenancy sustainment through effective housing and rent management.
• Assist residents with Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and budgeting.
• Monitor rent accounts and minimise arrears.
• Ensure accommodation inspections, repairs reporting and compliance checks are completed.
• Maximise occupancy and support successful move-on opportunities.
• Ensure accurate recording within THN digital systems.
• Quality assure support plans, risk assessments and case files.
• Prepare KPI and performance reports.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain high service standards.
