Job summary

Sovereign Network Group's Supported Housing team is recruiting a Supported Housing Manager-Extra Care. Based from offices in Greenham, Basingstoke or Wembley, you will lead a dispersed team delivering housing management services and support to adults, young people and families.

The role involves ensuring contractual compliance, managing lettings and budgets, and working with local authorities and care providers. Travel to Hertford, Oxfordshire, West Berkshire and Dorset may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, customer-centric housing management services (allocations, income, tenancy management).
• Oversee operational performance across health & safety, compliance, finance, lettings.
• Build and manage relationships with local authorities and external partners.
• Ensure services operate within budgets and contractual requirements; drive improvements and data quality.
• Lead investigations of complaints and safeguarding cases.
• Ensure safe living environments for residents and safety of staff and contractors.

Salary:

£42,000.00 - £51,000.00 Per year

We have a great opportunity for a Supported Housing Manager-Extra Care to join our Specialist Housing Team on a permanent basis.

Based from our offices in Greenham, Basingstoke or Wembley, you'll lead our teams across the SNG geography, working flexibly between our offices and home.

Due to the dispersed nature of the service you will be expected to on occasion to travel to Hertford, Oxfordshire, West Berkshire and Dorset/Bournemouth.

You will be part of a wider Supported Housing Team providing a range of housing management services, including temporary accommodation for adults, young people and families at risk of homelessness, Housing First tenancies, housing for adults and young people with disabilities or mental illness, those experiencing domestic abuse, extra care housing and individual properties for customers with identified support needs.

The Role

This is a rewarding leadership role where you'll inspire and develop a dedicated team, champion customer-focused services, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support.

You'll lead, manage and motivate a team of Supported Housing - Extra Care Officers responsible for providing a range of housing management services to our Extra Care customers, working collaboratively with colleagues across our schemes, our colleagues within SNG and our key external stakeholders including local authority commissioning teams and care providers.

You will ensure that our Extra Care housing is managed in line with contractual obligations, taking responsibility for financial performance and lettings while regularly identifying service improvements and maintaining high-quality data.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivery of a consistent high-quality customer-centric support services, such as allocations, income, and tenancy management
• The operational performance for an area of our supported housing, managing key areas such as health and safety, compliance, finance, customer satisfaction, and lettings
• Partnership working - building and managing our relationships with a range of local authorities and external partners
• Ensuring that services are delivered within approved budgets, in accordance with contractual requirements and within legislative and regulatory frameworks and best practice
• Leading on investigation of complaints and cases of anti-social behaviour and safeguarding, ensuring resolution
• Taking responsibility for ensuring that we provide our residents with a safe living environment, that staff and contractors are working in a safe fashion

What you'll need

You should have previous experience in a similar role, either with a background from within housing or experience with partnership working and leading successful teams. Knowledge across Supported Housing is advantageous but not essential.

You'll also need:

• Demonstrable team leadership experience, developing and supporting a high performing team
• Excellent stakeholder management experience, with an ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Effective communication skills, influencing and adding challenge where needed
• A clear focus on customers and understanding their needs to deliver excellent customer experience
• Ability to identify and find innovative solutions to any challenges
