Job summary

Voyage Care is recruiting a Senior Support Worker for a residential service in Woodley, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live more independently. This role assists the Manager in daily operations, including shift allocation, inductions, and supervising colleagues while delivering person-centred care.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification and experience in senior support, with advantageous exposure to autism and complex needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a senior support role and previous management responsibilities.
  • Experience with autism, communication needs, behaviours of distress or complex support needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Support people to gain more independence and participate in daily living tasks, appointments and community activities.
  • Assist the Manager with day-to-day running of the service, allocate shifts and induct new colleagues.
  • Support with medication management, ordering and keeping records, and helping people manage their finances.
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred support focusing on independence, choice and dignity.

Job description

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We're currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join our residential service in Woodley. This is a welcoming and friendly service supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. As a Senior Support Worker with us, you'll support people to gain more independence while assisting the Manager with the day-to-day running of the service. Responsibilities may include allocating shifts, inducting new colleagues, supporting supervisions, ordering medication and helping people we support to manage their finances. While taking on a leading role, you'll remain at the heart of delivering high-quality, person-centred support. You'll support with daily living tasks, medication, appointments, community activities and achieving personal goals, while promoting independence, choice and dignity.

We're looking for Senior Support Workers with both the right experience and values. You should have previous experience in a senior support role, a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, and experience supporting adults with learning disabilities. Experience supporting people with autism, communication needs, behaviours of distress or complex support needs would be advantageous.

Typical Shifts are: 7:30am - 2pm | 2pm - 9:30pm | 7:30am - 9:30pm including every other weekend.
