Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking genuine, hands-on Support Workers to help people improve daily living skills and independence in a supportive residential setting in Dronfield. You will assist with personal care, enable community access, and lead engaging activities in a friendly, team-based environment.

The role requires resilience, flexibility and experience with Positive Behaviour Support and reflective practice, including support for individuals with mental health needs, autism or trauma.

Qualifications

  • Experience following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living activities and personal care to promote independence.
  • Support people to access local communities and participate in activities.
  • Encourage social activities and facilitate outings to bars, pubs, cinema and other leisure venues.
  • Provide consistent, patient and compassionate care as part of a dynamic team.

We're on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people! Our residential service in Dronfield is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema. This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday. We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma. Pay rate starts at £12.84 per hour Typical Shifts are: Monday to Sunday Mornings 07:30-14:30 & Afternoons 14:30-21:30 and nights when required
