Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our residential service in Basingstoke. You will assist the Manager with daily supervision and help lead a dynamic team to support a group of people, enabling greater independence while managing shifts and training.

The role requires prior Senior Support Worker experience and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care, with exposure to individuals needing enhanced support including mental health and trauma.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Experience with individuals needing enhanced support (distress, mental health, ABI, autism, trauma).

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts and book training.
• Induct new colleagues and support supervision and coaching.
• Order medication and support people to manage finances.

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We're currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service in Basingstoke . This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!, As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision's, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You'll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We're interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.

Typical Shifts are: Monday - Sunday working 07:30 - 21.30 including working weekends on a 3 week rota Join Voyage Care and Feel Valued, we reward your dedication with:
