Job summary

Agincare in Hedge End is seeking dedicated support workers to help people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and complex needs live as independently as possible in their own homes and community. You will join a friendly team, provide person-centred support and maintain daily routines with enthusiasm.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic with great people skills and a positive, proactive approach.
• Experience or ability to support individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.
• Capable of recording changes and reporting them to the team/management.

Responsibilities

• Encourage people to participate in community activities and maintain independence.
• Support with activities of daily living, meals planning, routines and budgeting.

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following; Encouraging - people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence. Supporting - Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting. Communicating - effectively communicate using people's chosen methods Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches Recording - keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management Team player - Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
