Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a caring, hands-on Support Worker to help people gain independence and improve quality of life at our Suez Rd supported living service in Cambridge. You’ll work with a dynamic team to teach life skills, assist with personal care, and encourage community involvement through activities and outings.

Applicants should have the right values, be resilient and flexible, and have experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and working with individuals with autism.

Qualifications

  • Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism.
  • Care about enhancing quality of life and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Teach life skills and assist with personal care.
  • Encourage access to local communities, socialising and activities.
  • Support with daily living goals, like cooking dinner or going on holiday.

We're on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people! Our supported living service Suez Rd is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in the community, the next you could be unwinding with them doing arts and crafts This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday. We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values.
