Job summary

Voyage Care in Leverington is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help people gain independence and improve quality of life. You will work within a supportive team, learning and delivering person-centred care across daily activities.

Typical shifts are Sat-Sun 7:30am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-9:30pm, with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends. DBS checks and alignment with Positive Behaviour Support plans are part of the role to support individuals with autism.

Qualifications

• UK Manual DL required.
• We are seeking genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and individuals with autism is desirable.
• Be resilient, flexible and composed in approach, with the right values.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life within a dynamic team.
• Teach new life skills, assist with personal care and encourage community access.
• Engage in social activities, arts and crafts, and outings with the people we support.

Our supported living service in Leverington is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in the community, the next you could be unwinding with them doing arts and crafts
