Job summary

Voyage Care in Norton Fitzwarren is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help people gain greater independence in daily life. You’ll work as part of a friendly team within our nursing service on a farmhouse site with large grounds.

Typical shifts are 07:30–19:30, three shifts a week with alternate weekends. DBS checks and references will be required; training and development opportunities are provided to grow within a sector-leading organisation.

Qualifications

• Genuinely caring, hands-on approach to support workers.
• Help people gain more independence in daily lives.
• Ability to work within a dynamic team.
• Experience with Huntingdon's, complex care needs and acquired brain injury is preferred.

Support Worker – Norton Fitzwarren - £13.56 p/h

Our nursing service in Norton Fitzwarren is an old farmhouse with large grounds including fruit trees and a walled garden. Its a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be could be unwinding with them playing video games, and the next day, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
