Job summary

Voyage Care in Longhope is seeking a caring Support Worker to join a residential service, with shifts across early and late slots. You will help people gain greater independence in daily living, assist with personal care, and support access to local communities and activities.

The role values resilience, a passenger-focused attitude, and teamwork, with a pay rate starting at £12.34 per hour including night enhancement. A full UK driving license is desirable for activities outside the home.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license preferred; over 21 to drive vehicles on activities.
• Experience in care or supporting individuals is desirable.
• Ability to engage and enable independence for people.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain independence in daily living and routines.
• Assist with personal care and daily activities.

Support Worker

Location: Longhope (please be aware you may need transport to get to Longhope as public transport does not get you to shift on time)

It is preferable to have held a UK Manual Driving License and be over age of 21 in order to drive our vehicle to go out on activities

Pay Rate starts at: £12.34ph (this is including the night enhancement)

Contract: 35hrs
Typical Shifts are: a mixture: 7am - 14:00 and 14:00 - 21:00

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
