Ashcombe Court, operated by Keys Group, is a residential service providing support for adults with mental health needs, autism, brain injury and learning disabilities. The 8-bed home offers day-to-day support, personal care and help with daily living activities in Weston-super-Mare.

As a Support Worker you will help residents with routines, promote independence, assist with health care needs and medications, and support life skills like budgeting and shopping.

Qualifications

• No prior care sector experience required (full training provided).
• Willingness to learn and develop in care and support.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and routine for residents.
• Encourage independence and personal skills through hobbies and activities.
• Support health care needs and accompany residents to routine appointments.
• Assist with personal care and domestic tasks (cleaning and cooking).

About Ashcombe Court:

Ashcombe Court supports an 8 bedded home for Mental health, Autism, Acquire Brain injury and Learning disabilities as well as support with everyday living skills like shopping, cleaning and cooking our staff support people to have fun and make every day the best it can be for each person.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
