Job summary

Care & Support Services is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide emotional and practical care for young people in our West Midlands homes. You’ll help maintain structure, safety, and therapeutic routines while we prepare for new placements.

You will work on-site across Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Cannock and Wednesbury, offering flexible part-time or full-time hours, supporting leadership and ensuring a nurturing, placement-ready environment.

• Provide high-quality emotional and practical support to young people once placed
• Assist in keeping the home compliant and placement-ready
• Work across multiple homes (Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Wednesbury) as needed
• Help embed routines, therapeutic approaches, and positive communication
• Support the home’s leadership team during gaps in placement or low staffing
• Promote a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for all young people
