Job summary

A fantastic residential supported living unit in Sherwood is looking for passionate and experienced support workers to help residents with autism and learning disabilities. You will support them to live as independently as possible, assisting with feeding, mobility, and learning life skills.

You will also help with condition update reports and household tasks to keep the service running smoothly; staff have a varied activities schedule, making every day different.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience within a similar care environment.
• Checkable work history.
• Up-to-date mandatory training: Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, Infection Control (online training available).
• In-date enhanced DBS; DBS renewal offered if expired.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily tasks such as feeding, mobility and life skills.
• Contribute to condition update reports and household tasks to keep the service running smoothly.
• Participate in varied activities as part of an engaging schedule for residents.

You will be working to help residents live as independently as possible, by assisting them in daily tasks such as feeding, mobility, and learning life skills.

You will also be required to help with condition update reports and any necessary household tasks to help the service run as smoothly as possible. Staff at the home have a varied activities schedule tailored to residents' interests, so every day will truly be different!

• Have 3 months experience within a similar care environment
• Have a checkable work history
• Have up to date mandatory training documents, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control. Should you not have up to date certificates we can offer online training.
• An in date enhanced DBS check. Should your DBS have expired we can offer the facility to arrange a new one for you.
